MATT KIMPEL, DIRECTOR OF CYBERSECURITY, RECIEVES CISSP CERTIFICATION

PITTSBURGH, PA (March 15, 2022) – Matt Kimpel, Director of Cybersecurity and Engineering at Magna5, recently received the CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) Certification. Since its launch in 1994, the CISSP has become a highly coveted cybersecurity certification for seasoned professionals and leaders in this space.

Before you can sit for the CISSP exam you need to meet specific experience requirements. This includes a minimum of 5 years work experience in at least 2 of the 8 CISSP CBK domains.

“My work experience at Magna5 and everything I have been able to cover here has given me the experience to help pass the exam. I got a lot of on-the-job experience working with our customers in most of the domains covered in the exam.” Said Matt.

Matt has been with Magna5 for 15 years and started as an intern while going to school for Cybersecurity. After having an opportunity to jump into networking he was quickly working with engineering teams while continuing to educate himself on the process and workflows of the IT industry.

“Matt has been amazing to work with as he continues to push himself to learn new things and take on new challenges,” said Justin Cameron, Magna5 SVP of IT Services.  This new certification he received will only help him to better serve our customers.”
